Building Support for Syringe Services Programs as Essential Services
Syringe services programs (SSPs) have long been recognized for their critical role in providing a range of services to people who use drugs. CDC recommends that SSPs be considered essential public health infrastructure during the COVID-19 pandemic. Nevertheless, SSPs often experience backlash and challenges.
