AIDS Education & Training Centers (AETCs)
Funded by the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), the AETC Program supports national HIV priorities by building clinician and care team capacity and expertise along the HIV care continuum. It serves as the training arm of the Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program. The AETC Program is a national network of leading HIV experts who provide locally-based, tailored education, clinical consultation and technical assistance to healthcare professionals and healthcare organizations to integrate high quality, comprehensive care for those living with or affected by HIV. The National Clinician Consultation Center (NCCC)
Funded by HRSA AETC Program, the National Clinician Consultation Center’s mission is to improve patient health outcomes by building the capacity of healthcare providers through expert clinical consultation and education about managing HIV/AIDS, perinatal HIV, pre-exposure prophylaxis, and bloodborne pathogen exposures. The center provides online and phone-based consultation in service areas including testing and prevention, treatment, and post-exposure prophylaxis (PEP). Visit their website at www.nccc.ucsf.edu.
Technology Transfer Centers (TTCs)
Funded by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), the purpose of the TTCs is to develop and strengthen the specialized behavioral healthcare and primary healthcare workforce that provides prevention, treatment and recovery support services for SUD and mental health needs. The TTC program consists of three networks: the Addiction Technology Transfer Centers, the Mental Health Technology Transfer Centers, and the Prevention Technology Transfer Centers. National Consortium of Telehealth Resource Centers (NCTRC)
The NCTRC supports telehealth programs to expand the availability of health care to rural and underserved populations across the U.S. through twelve regional and two national Telehealth Resource Centers (TRCs). TRCs have been established to provide technical assistance, education, and information to organizations and individuals who are actively providing or interested in providing health care at a distance. The consortium is committed to helping organizations overcome barriers, advance telehealth education, and provide resources. The regional TRCs work with organizations to solve healthcare delivery problems. The two national TRCs focus on policy and technology: the National Policy Center - Center for Connected Health Policy and the National Technology Center - Telehealth Technology Assessment Resource Center. Providers Clinical Support System (PCSS)
PCSS is funded by SAMHSA to train primary care providers in the evidence-based prevention and treatment of opioid use disorders and treatment of chronic pain. PCSS is made up of a coalition, led by American Academy of Addiction Psychiatry, of major healthcare organizations all dedicated to addressing the opioid crisis. Through trainings and a clinical mentoring program, PCSS’s mission is to increase healthcare providers’ knowledge and skills in the prevention, identification, and treatment of substance use disorders with a focus on opioid use disorders. Rural Communities Opioid Response Program Technical Assistance (RCORP-TA)
RCORP-TA is the technical assistance provider for the Rural Communities Opioid Response Program (RCORP), a multi-year initiative funded by HRSA with the purpose of reducing the morbidity and mortality of substance use disorder and opioid use disorder, in rural communities at the highest risk.RCORP-TA supports grantees in implementing and sustaining prevention, treatment, and recovery services in rural communities. National Area Health Education Centers
The National AHEC is dedicated to improving the accessibility to healthcare in rural and underserved populations through advocacy, education, and research. The purpose of the National AHEC is to develop and enhance educational networks, programs, and services to improve the supply, quality, diversity, and distribution of health professionals who serve rural and underserved populations and can provide quality care in the context of transforming the health care system. The national organization represents a network of more than 300 AHEC program offices and centers that serve over 85% of United States counties. Their mission is to help its members achieve the AHEC mission through advocacy, education, and research. The AHEC mission is to enhance access to quality health care, particularly primary and preventive care, by improving the supply and distribution of healthcare professionals via strategic partnerships with academic programs, communities, and professional organizations.Visit their website at https://www.nationalahec.org/.
